(Los Angeles, Oct. 18, 2011) – Leading experts on the use of social media to foster business growth will take center stage at “Social: The Now Media,” an all-day conference being presented by CBS Radio’s KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO on Wednesday, Nov. 16 from 9:00am – 4:00pm at the Hollywood Palladium.

Featured speakers will outline best practices and present case studies to help business owners strategize and monetize using ubiquitous social media platforms. The Art of Online Reviews and Referrals, How Social Media Impacts Consumers and How People are Finding Your Business are some of the topics that will be addressed to help entrepreneurs understand how to generate customer loyalty and revenue.

Scheduled presenters include Jim Lanzone, President of CBS Interactive; Kara Nortman, Senior Vice President of Publishing for CityGrid Media; Steve Rubel, Executive Vice President of Global Strategy & Insights for Edelman Public Relations and Hooman Radfar, CEO and co-founder of Clearspring.

Additionally, panel discussions will focus on using social media for e-commerce and the legalities of controlling your online reputation. Guest panelists will include Teri Thompson, co-author of “The Power of Real-Time Social Media Marketing,” Vivian Yang, Corporate Counsel for CityGrid Media, and others to be announced.
