About Central Arkansas

Central Arkansas has what it takes to be a booming entrepreneurial community: a low cost of living, co-working spaces, tons of entrepreneurial support and mentors eager to impart wisdom on new entrepreneurs. The community is rapidly growing and evolving. This summer, we celebrated demo days for two industry-specific, privately funded accelerators: a healthcare accelerator presented in partnership with the state’s largest payer and provider, and a fintech accelerator partnered with FIS Global. Additionally, we have multiple co-working spaces, a maker space, and plenty of entrepreneurial events – you’ll need a calendar to make sure you’re not missing anything. The community is actively engaged on social media, and we have a special hashtag (#ARidea) to document the work of local entrepreneurs and connect them with the community.

We also have programming for entrepreneurs of all stages, like Innovate Arkansas, a tax payer-funded program that is open to any aspiring entrepreneur. You can reach out to the organization, receive free consultation and get connected with a huge network of mentors at no cost. Additionally, entrepreneurs can enroll into a pre-accelerator course in town, or take advantage of many local resources, from the Arkansas Women’s Business Center to the Small Business Association to the Delta Regional Authority – a federal-state program dedicated to create jobs and build communities for people in the Delta region. And, the Governor has taken a special interest in the technology and entrepreneurial space, with an initiative to offer computer-coding classes in high schools across the state, and a commitment to fund various industry-specific accelerators.

It’s a great time to be an entrepreneur in Arkansas, and we love new faces and ideas.
