Thursday, November 17, 2011: Food Truck Start-up Goes Great Places! Marshall DECA hosts Sandra Pinetta, a local entrepreneur who operated Sweetbites. Opened in May 2010, Sweetbites offers a variety of desserts and other baked goods around the Washington, D.C. area. Students will hear Sandra’s unique story and have the opportunity to sample her fantastic products. If you are in the area, you are welcome to stop by and check out the newest trend in mobile entrepreneurship. Presentation begins at 9:00 am in Michael Hall at George C. Marshall High School. This is the third year that the Marshall Academy Entrepreneurship Program has participated in Global Entrepreneurship Week. Previously the Marshall DECA Entrepreneurship program has been recognized Global Entrepreneurship Week Distinguished Partner and has earned 1st place in Virginia DECA’s Entrepreneurship Promotion Project competition in 2010 and 2011.
