What better way to celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week than doing entrepreneurship! That's what the NeeKay Challenge is all about. This week students in Business & Entrepreneurial Studies (B&E) at Emerson College "Just do it" when it comes to entrepreneurship. Students are divided randomly into teams and given the challenge to "Make as much money as you can," by 5PM Friday 11/21. The NeeKay Challenge is based on the "Five Dollar Challenge" at Stanford University, but adapted to what students have learned, and practiced so far in the B&E programs at Emerson. Students evolve strategies, measure results, and account for revenues and expenses during the five-day challenge. Dr. Karl Baehr, Director of Business, & Entreprenurial Studies at Emerson College puts it like this, "We have taught them about swimming so far this semester, this week they get in the pool. This week they swim." Celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week, The NeeKay Challenge is in its second year at Emerson.
