The Hoku Scientific Microloan Fund is a loan program for University of Hawaii students who want to start a business or develop a proof-of-concept. Loans of up to $5,000 are available at a nominal interest rate for a term of one year. Students who apply for the loan will present their business pitches to a loan board for approval on November 14 at the Shidler College of Business.
