The Skandalaris Seminar Series: Developing Skills, Perspectives, and Relationships, is a free opportunity for all entrepreneurs from the community and campuses of Washington University and their team members and supporters. Both social and commercial entrepreneurs are welcome. At these seminars, teams can explore possibilities, understand their skills, motivations, and passions, learn, and connect with each other. The three hour seminars include two 90-minute sessions. The first session from 1 - 2:30 PM includes a presentation speaking on a skills-related topic, and the panel discussion from 2:30 - 4 features a panel of startup and experienced social and commercial entrepreneurs who will give their perspectives on how they developed and utilized their own skills in implementing their ventures. The fourth, and final seminar of the semester, "The Business Plan and Telling Your Story" will summarize all points to help develop the business plan and tell the story, and answer these questions: -Do all parts support the success of the venture? -How do you stay focused but flexible when implementing your plan? -How do you address ethical concerns? -How do you celebrate success and deal with challenges? -When do you exit? -What are your community resources?
