Entrepreneurship Challenge: Teams of high school students will compete online October 10-14, 2011 to create a business plan addressing a scenario posted at www.cas.umkc.edu/mcee. Judges will score the business plans and 20 teams of five students each will be invited to attend the state Entrepreneurship Challenge on November 15, 2011 on the campus of Missouri Western State University. Teams will be randomly matched to create ten teams of ten. A new scenario will be addressed by the teams, business plans created,presentations developed and delivered to a distinct panel of judges. One team will be recognized for their overall best proposal and most likely to be selected for funding. Each team member receives a cash prize and a $500 scholarship for four years to attend the university. One hundred and seven teams are registered to participate in this first Missouri State Entrepreneurship Challenge celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Week.
