To close out the week, Ja’Muan Webb, a RRHS DECA member, conducted his final Halifax Leadership Equity Project session. During the session, Dr. Yolanda Burwell and Ja’Muan had the opportunity speak about the different entrepreneurship resources such as New Generation Ventures that were available to future entrepreneurs. Ventures offers self-employment as an attractive and attainable career option for rural young adults, ages 18-30. Ventures is part of the larger New Generation Imitative, a three-year effort to transform rural counties through youth and young adult engagement. After the presentation, booklets were handed out with more information about the different programs. A question and answer session was also held.
