The purpose of this event is to increase awareness of entrepreneurship activities on and off campus and connect the university and regional community to resources and relationships that can accelerate growth as entrepreneurs. Starting with hors d'oeuvres and drinks, the GEW networking event will open with remarks by Boberg, including mention of the Arrowhead Innovation Network initiative, an i6 Challenge project, which will leverage $2 million in funding from the Economic Development Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce and NMSU. This funding will accelerate the commercialization of technology through Launch, Arrowhead's proof of concept center, and build a sustainable entrepreneurial and innovation environment in Southern New Mexico and West Texas. Bobby Lutz, an NMSU College of Business alumnus and executive in residence for the College of Business, will be the featured speaker for the event and will reflect on the adventure, triumphs and challenges he encountered on his path to success. The event will take place from 4-7 p.m. at Arrowhead Center, 3655 Research Drive, in Genesis Center Building C on the NMSU campus. Those interested in attending the GEW event are encouraged, but not required, to RSVP. Contact Zetdi Runyan at or call 575-646-7833.
