Ladies and Gents, It’s been an eventful filled ride from the time we started ELE Rwanda from my apartment in December 2011. Yves and Tim sharing ideas I remember the days when Yves and I sat down and brainstormed about a way we could bring be a source of positive change. How we could aggregate all the positive youth energy to achieve even more? After all discussions, we decided on a platform that would catalyse Students like us to achieve more. I remember debating on the name for about 2 weeks (ELE Rwanda??)) And the activities too: a conference and a business competition And then came the part about looking for partnership and sponsorship. Knocking on many doors till some opened. Truth is, whenever you strongly believe in an innovative idea, you will always get somebody who believes in it too. I would say for every 10 doors I knocked on, only one opened. However that one is worth the wait, for more came. When you are devoted to your work, you will do all you can to make it happen and happen it will. I am unflinching in my belief that the best lies ahead, for i look not at what has been done, but the work that lies ahead. I look to the 18 hr drive we took to California in the middle of classes to meet with students there. The ensuing trips (we always drove) to Arkansas and Washington DC (2 Weeks ago) to share the idea with countless others in different parts of the USA. And then again to the West Coast, California. As of now, the ELE Rwanda committee is working hard to make the upcoming summit and the Business Competition a success. A lot has been done, but a lot more still lies ahead. I invite you to come join us on June 23rd to celebrate the Young achievers and also to see how we can all achieve even more. How we can “Innovate, Integrate and Motivate.” I would like to give thanks to those who believed in us from the start for without their encouragement, we wouldn’t have gone this far. Special thanks to Dr. Mike O’Neal, Joseph Masengesho, Dr. Don Drew, John Osborne, John Nkuranga, John Yves Musiine, Dina Imbabazi, Ryan Groves, Nathalie Kaligirwa, Dale Dawson, Phil Smith, Jay Martin and the Embassy of Rwanda. There is many more I did not mention for they are countless others too(Sponsors, Partners, Friends and Relatives) Thank you all and God Bless you. Let’s continue working together. There is so much potential when we all come together to work for the betterment of not just our lives but for the greater good of our society and country. I remain, Timothy Kaboya COO and Founder, ELERwanda
