The West Virginia Statewide Business Plan Competition encourages participation from every four-year college and university in West Virginia. Undergraduate and graduate students are allowed to enter in the form of single individual or multi-person teams. This event represents the second round of competition, which narrowed the field of entries to 20 semi-finalists in two categories of competition -- Lifestyle & Innovation and Hospitality & Tourism. Winners in each of the two categories receive a $10,000 first prize, as well as a prize package valued at more than $6,000 in professional services such as legal and accounting services and space for one year in the West Virginia University Incubator. Winning teams are required to open their businesses in West Virginia. 10 teams will advance to the next round. Visit www.be.wvu.edu/bpc for more information.
