Urban Entrepreneurship Partnership (UEP) , a program of the Kauffman Foundation, is known for its comprehensive one-to-one premiere business-coaching model. The UEP will provide complimentary one-on-one coaching services to entrepreneurs on November 15 at UEP offices located in Kansas City, Detroit, Baton Rouge, and New Orleans. During this event, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to meet with a coach from UEP's network of first-class business coaches for 50 minutes. Business owners selected to participate in this one-day event will have the opportunity to attend a session a the Kansas City office at a pre-arranged time, based on registration.

Startup Weekend features a global network of passionate leaders and entrepreneurs on a mission to inspire, educate, and empower individuals, teams and communities. Come share ideas, form teams, and launch startups. Startup Weekend is an intense 54-hour event which focuses on building a web or mobile application which could form the basis of a credible business over the course of the weekend. This weekend brings together people with different skill sets - primarily software developers, graphic designers and business people - to build applications and develop a commercial case around them. Those who participate in these events include developers, designers, marketers, product managers and entrepreneurs. Registration is required
