Entrepreneurial Movie Night

The EC is proud to host a special free screening of the movie "Social Network," a thought-provoking film by award-winning filmmaker Doug Pennebaker as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. "Social Network" tells the amazing story behind the creation of Facebook and all the challenges, drama, excitement, and opportunities that result. If you ever thought starting a business was easy this movie will provide an actual window into the startup process.

Student Rocket Pitch

Ten UNCW students will be delivering "entrepreneurial pitches" on new business opportunities at this special Rocket Pitch Event as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. The mission of this event is to provide students an opportunity to deliver a high powered, high energy 5-minute presentation (rocket pitch) based on a well researched and prepared business idea. Students will compete for cash prizes of $800 (1st), $250 (2nd) and $100 (3rd) as voted on by our panel of judges and via TXT message from audience members. From an audience perspective this unique event should provide great entertainment, excitement, and a chance to participate in and help select the winners.
