Tulsa StartUp Cup

The first business model competition was launched in 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The stated purpose was to increase startup activity in the region, reward entrepreneurial behavior, grow an entrepreneurial ecosystem, and connect Tulsa with Global Entrepreneurship Week. Today, the TCC StartUp Cup is going stronger than ever with a five-year partnership agreement with the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation to provide over $35,000 in prize money annually. The TCC StartUp Cup is at the heart of Tulsa’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. To date, over 600 entrepreneurs have participated and StartUp Cup has been directly involved in the launch of over 68 new startups, and the creation of more than 300 new jobs in the Tulsa region. On November 13, 2012, after participating in an intensive seven-month competitive business building process, the winners of the TCC StartUp Cup will be announced during TulsaGEW in what has become Tulsa’s flagship entrepreneurial award celebration.

This is one of several StartUp Cups taking place all over the world as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. Visit tcc.startupcup.com to learn more.
