Woodstock Fixed Income is inviting students to their trading floor to gain a live hands-on experience and overview to the US & Global Economy. This event will create a sense of reality for the students about what actually happens in the global financial markets - how they work, what happens on a trading floor - and students will be able to feel the excitement of a live trading floor. ABOUT: Woodstock Fixed Income Career Day is an outreach program complimenting the education of young people at school to give an introduction to the financial markets and answer questions about the financial industry.

Students in the journalism classes will have the opportunity to interact with and learn from..... - Mrs. Valdez, Associate Editor (digital and socialmedia) - Leslie Baldwin, Photography Editor, and Andi Beierman, Deputy Art Director(photography and design) - Mr.Spong, Senior Editor (pitching story ideas to editor, research,writing) - Mr. Jake Silverstein, Editor The journalism students are excited to explore these careers and learn what goes on behind the scenes at a major publication.

BabyEarth's Flagship Store Visit w Steve Raich

The SMCA Entrepreneurship Center for Economic and Social Innovation is sponsoring a field trip to BabyEarth's Flagship Store in Round Rock, Texas. Mr. Steve Raich, CFO of BabyEarth and SMCA Entre Center Mentor of the Year 2011, will be hosting the students. Students in the the Entrepreneurship Class (upper classmen)and Entrepreneurship Club (any student on campus interested in entrepreneurship) will get an opportunity to experience first-hand what transpires "behind the scenes" at BabyEarth and compare operations of their online store and their brick and mortar storefront.

Entrepreneurial Journey - Dan Graham, BuildASign

Dan Graham, CEO of Build A Sign, will visit the St. Michael's campus and speak with the Entrepreneurship Class and other students interested in exploring the World o' Entrepreneurship. The topic of his talk will be "Bootstrapping and Starting a Company". Mr. Graham will share his entrepreneurial journey, including what businesses resulted when he joined forces with two of his high school friends.
