E-Club Elevator Pitch Competition

SCENARIO: Imagine you are standing in an elevator on your way to visit one of Donald Trump's aides to try to get an audience with the "Don" to pitch him on your amazing business idea. The elevator door opens up, and in steps Mr. Trump himself. He is in a good mood, so he gives you a shot to pitch your idea, but you only have until the elevator arrives at his floor (about 90 seconds) to convince him to invest in your idea. WHAT IT IS: The Elevator Pitch Competition captures the scenario above by giving each presenter a 90 second opportunity to pitch his/her idea before a panel of judges. The judges will be selected from among successful entrepreneurs who volunteer their time to help judge the presentors. Each contestant will be judged along quantitative and qualitative measures, which will be set forth on the "judges scorecard". WHEN IT IS: THE E-CLUB WILL BE HOSTING TWO ELEVATOR PITCH COMPETITIONS THIS YEAR. ONE IN THE FALL AND ONE IN THE SPRING. THE DATES FOR THE ELEVATOR PITCH COMPETITIONS ARE: September 26-27, 2011 March 12-13, 2012 PRIZES: 1st Place - $500 2nd Place - $300 3rd Place - $200 In addition, the winner of the fall competition will recieve automatic qualification to the CEO Conference WHO CAN ENTER: The Competition is open to all OSU and NOC Students. Entry is free. DEADLINES TO ENTER: Fall Competition - September 23rd, 2011 Spring Competition - March 9th, 2012
