Designed for business owners and entrepreneurs who need to know how to create a business plan for their organization so the plan can be a useful management tool. Participants will learn the importance of business plans, the key required elements of a basic plan and data that must be included. Participants will also get tips on writing style to make the business plan easier to understand and more professional in appearance. An overview of the critical first steps associated with starting a business will be covered during this program. Students will have an opportunity to assess their strengths and weaknesses, learn about the importance of planning, discuss legal and regulatory requirements, examine target markets and marketing issues, and identify sources of financing.
