At the same time, however, she finds collective efforts to improve the local entrepreneurial community have improved, and several effective mentoring and networking groups have emerged. 2011 Youth Entrepreneurship Summit: Jump Start America

Kansas City, Missouri

13 November 2011-16 November 2011

Youth Entrepreneurship Summit 2011: Jump Start America November 13–15, 2011 Hosted by the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation Presented by Conscious Capitalism Institute and YES The purpose of this Summit is to bring together CEOs, CSR officers, government, municipalities and foundation leaders, community organizers of co-working spaces, and young entrepreneurs to inspire innovative creative action to accelerate young entrepreneurs. Millions of young Americans are looking for an opportunity to be entrepreneurial – to be their own boss – live life the American way. But for many this is just an impossible dream. Youth are hurt by studies that show that they may not be able to do as well as their parent’s generation. Do we need to believe that? We live in a world that we create – so why can we not generate a world where the American ‘can do’ is embedded in American ‘do how’ and at the nexus of this, we generate youth entrepreneurs. We need to create access to markets for goods and services of our young entrepreneurs. This Summit is gathering leading CEOs from the Conscious Capitalism Institute (CCI), foundations, young entrepreneurs, investors and community organizers who will take bold new innovative action to power a new generation of young entrepreneurs. At the Summit we will launch a Do Tank for Youth Entrepreneurship to take joint actions for creating access to markets for youth products and services. This Do Tank will also focus on innovative new initiatives grounded in the principles and practices of Conscious Capitalism.
