Partners Held Competitions to Celebrate GEW

A great way to celebrate GEW/USA is to ignite the competitive sprit of entrepreneurship within participants. A number of partners nationwide, held competitions yesterday in partnership with GEW.

A featured event of GEW, the Entrepreneurs’ Organization is holding their annual Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) finals at the NY Stock Exchange award undergraduate students that own and run businesses while attending college or university.

SUNY College at Plattsburg in New York, is challenging students to the Business Poster Plan Competition, where students are invited to pitch business ideas and compete amongst each other.

TCVN in Orange Country, California is holding the Survivor 7 business pitch contest, the counties largest investment and prize competition for entrepreneurs.

Appleton East High School DECA chapter in Wisconsin, is holding the Lemonade Stand Competition in which student teams are given $25 and responsible for developing, promoting, pricing, distributing, and selling to the students and staff at the school. The team with the greatest profit wins.

Lehigh University‘s Baker Institute is hosting the Eureka! Student Entrepreneurship Competition, challenging students to develop proposals with the potential to leave a positive impact through the pursuit of innovative thinking and sustainable business models on the surrounding Pennsylvania region.

Wakefield High School in Arlington, Virginia and ACU's Griggs Center for Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy in Abilene, Texas are holding their own versions of pitch competitions for students.
