Dozens of aspiring entrepreneurs came out for a networking event and panel discussion held November 16, as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. The event
was sponsored by the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, OKStartup.com, the University of Oklahoma Center for Entrepreneurship and okcCoCo.
The panels were on a variety of topics, including “The Future of Entrepreneurship” and “Online Business Opportunities and Technologies”, which were moderated by Jim Rogers of i2E. Panelists included Mike Moradi (Venture Development Associates), Piyush Patel (Digital-Tutors), and Blaine Pinard (Governor’s Cup Finalist), who discussed successes and challenges in their own experiences as entrepreneurs.
A panel of local internet entrepreneurs also spoke about current opportunities and technologies in online business. These local experts included Roy Georgia (BuzzVoice.com), Matt Johnson (uVizz.com), Grant Schofield (Twircl.com), Vance Lucas (InvoiceMore.com), RB Bruce (Yackall.com), and Garrett Blythe (Revnetics.com).
Shelli Todd of OKStartup.com also presented an inspiring video of last year’s Oklahoma Entrepreneur’s Conference. The 2010 version is already in the works, planned for February 23-24, 2010, in Norman.
