  • Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) is hosting a happy hour in Cleveland, Ohio to bring together Cleveland-area entrepreneurs and would-be entrepreneurs to share ideas and experience. This event is part of EO24, which is 24 hours of events around the world designed to positively impact the entire entrepreneurial continuum.
  • The Kaufman Foundation releases list of speakers and agenda details for Global Women’s Summit. Register to attend today!
  • While we're on the topic of gender... Women 2.0, a global media company for aspiring and current female entrepreneurs, recognizes the “GEW 50” winners of Startup Open that were launched by women. 
  • As part of the first annual Maryland Entrepreneur Expo, the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO) will be hosting the conference, “Harnessing the Power of Innovation,” on November 14th.
  • Sean Griffin, Chairman of Tulsa GEW, discusses in this article about the importance of startups in a frustrating jobs market.   • The Launch Pad, the University of Miami’s entrepreneurship resource center will be holding its last preliminary contests in preparation for the 2011 Elevator Pitch Competition. Preliminary contests are occurring October 24 through October 26. Sign up at thelaunchpad.org.
  • Millersville University in Pennsylvania announced 8 activities occurring on campus during Global Entrepreneurship Week, including the opener, “Doing Business in India.”
  • Global Student Entrepreneurship Awards names Boston regional finalist. Dinesh Wadhwano, founder of ThinkLite, LLC, will now compete in the Global Finals.
  • University of Southeast Missouri announces events planned as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, including Women Inspiring eNtrepreneurship Conference, Dale Carnegie Courses, Operation Main Street, and multiple programs for area business leaders lead by chambers of commerce in Cape Girardeau, Jackson, and Sikeston, Mo.
  • The Society of Entrepreneurs and LaunchMemphis are hosting “Core Conversations on Entrepreneurship,” on November 15, which is a dinner event designed to get entrepreneurs from the Memphis, Tennessee together to collaborate ideas. Reserve your tickets today!
  • St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida will be hosting several l events during Global Entrepreneurship Week this year, including their opening forum, “From Idea to Start-Up,” at which prominent business people share their ideas and perceptions about what drives success.   • Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan holding an assortment of activities designed to encourage the active participation of individuals on campus and in the community, including Pitch and Video competitions for a chance to win $500.
  • KC Sourcelink is holding a video contest during GEW for area startups and companies to showcase what makes them great.
