Gov. Jennifer M. Granholm of Michigan endorsed Global Entrepreneurship Week last week, telling those in her state that now is the time to take a chance and become an entrepreneur. Michigan was one of the most active states in this year's GEW, with almost 100 partners hosting activities, including a statewide Global Innovation Tournament.

"There is no question that Michigan faces some serious challenges as we undergo a historic economic transformation," Granholm said. "But, thanks to your vision and your courage and your faith in the future, this is also a time of new beginnings."
