Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony

Nine notable Kentucky entrepreneurs will be recognized as the inaugural class of inductees for the Kentucky Entrepreneur Hall of Fame on Nov. 17. The 2010 Inaugural Class includes:

  • John Y. Brown Jr., KFC;
  • Pearse Lyons, Alltech;
  • the late William T. Young, W.T. Young Storage. & Overbrook Farm;
  • Warren Rosenthal, Jerrico - Long John Silver's/Jerry's Restaurant;
  • John Schnatter, Papa John's;
  • Jim Host, Host Communications and Printing;
  • the late Ralph G. Anderson, Belcan;
  • Davis Marksbury, Exstream Software
  • and University of Kentucky President Lee Todd, Projectron, Inc. and DataBeam Corp.

Governor John Y Brown, Jr. and a group of investors purchased Kentucky Fried Chicken from its founder, Colonel Harland Sanders and grew Kentucky Fried Chicken from 600 to 3,500 franchises around the world. Harvard Business School recognized Governor Brown was one of 100 selected for their business leadership that helped shape the ways that people live, work, and interact in the 20th Century. Dr. Pearse Lyons is founder and president of Alltech, a company that employs over 1,900 people in 91 countries.
The event kicks off with networking at 6 p.m., with the program set to begin at 6:30 which will be streamed live on the Internet at www.Livestream.com/LeXenomics.
