Charlotte County (FL) Proclaims Global Entrepreneurship Week

Thanks to the efforts of the Charlotte County Economic Development Office in Florida, the county has formally proclaimed November 14-20, 2011, as Global Entrepreneurship Week.
The text of the proclamation is below:
CHARLOTTE COUNTY FLORIDA
PROCLAMATION
Whereas, Charlotte County recognizes the imporance entrepreneurs have on the development of new products and processes that lead to economic growth; and,
Whereas, the Enterprise Charlotte Economic Council has sponsored the i2i Florida--Innovation 2 Industry contest to encourage and support entrepreneurial innovators; and,
Whereas, Global Entrepreneurship Week was launched in 2008 as a global rallying point to give focus to the international entrepreneurial community to celebrate the innovators and job creators who launch startups, take risks and create net job growth; and
Whereas, the main objectives of Global Entrepreneurship Week are to inspire, connect, mentor and engage entrepreneurs; and
Whereas, the 4th annual Global Entrepreneurship Week is scheduled for November 14, 2011, through November 20, 2011, and the United States is one of 123 countries participating this year.
Now, therefore, be it proclaimed that the week of November 14, 2011, through November 20, 2011, shall be known in all of Charlotte County as
Global Entrepreneurship Week
